ABOUT
Meet the Photographer
Mark's appreciation for nature began as a child while growing up in Atlanta, Georgia. He spent so much of his time in the woods behind his home that his Dad once told him "You can't spend your whole life in the woods". Well so much for that.
He went on first combining his love of nature with photography in the Boy Scouts when he began recording his adventures with a simple box camera. Later, in 1971, with the escalation of our country's involvement in the Viet Nam conflict, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He then volunteered and completed the required training and became a member of the Navy's elite Underwater Demolition/SEAL Teams. Always keeping his cameras close by, he used any time Uncle Sam didn't require his services to build a photographic portfolio. He left the Navy in 1993 after completing a 20 year career with Naval Special Warfare.
He now lives in the "Natural State" and calls Northwest Arkansas his home. He continues to travel and photograph the natural beauty of this great country. He hopes that you will continue to visit this website to check for updates from his latest photographic adventure.
